Who we are

Fave AI is a product of EMERALDSCHILD LLC, a Washington State limited liability company. We operate the Fave AI Chrome extension and the website at faveai.app. Contact us at hello@faveai.app.

What data we collect

• Video frames — when you click the Fave button, a still image of the current video frame is captured and sent to our servers for product identification. Frames are processed in real time and are not permanently stored. A low-resolution thumbnail may be retained for quality review purposes.
• Scan results — products identified, confidence scores, and associated video metadata (video title, video ID, creator name, channel ID, timestamp).
• Video description links — when you visit a YouTube video, the extension reads publicly available shopping and product links from the video description. These links are displayed in the extension to help you find products the creator has linked.
• Usage data — which buy links you click, user feedback (thumbs up/down on product identifications), and scan patterns within the extension.
• Email address — if you sign up for the waitlist (optional, collected via Tally.so).

How we use your data

• To identify products in video frames and return results to your browser
• To display relevant shopping links from video descriptions alongside scan results
• To improve identification accuracy using anonymised scan data
• To send product updates if you have opted in
• To operate affiliate programmes and track buy link clicks

Affiliate disclosure

Fave AI is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click a buy link in the extension and make a purchase, Fave AI may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

The extension may also display affiliate links placed by video creators in their video descriptions. These creator links are shown as-is and Fave AI does not modify or replace them.

What we do not collect

• We do not track your general browsing history. The extension only activates on YouTube.
• We do not collect passwords, payment information, or personal financial data.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Third parties

• OpenAI — video frames are sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision API for product identification. Frames sent via the API are not used to train OpenAI models.
• Cloudflare — our server infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers and KV storage.
• Amazon — buy links include Amazon Associates affiliate tracking (tag: faveai-20). Purchases subject to Amazon's privacy policy.
• Tally.so — waitlist signups are processed via Tally.so.

Data retention

Scan results and metadata are retained for product accuracy improvement. Video frames are processed in real time and not permanently stored at full resolution. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting hello@faveai.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
